Tunings, estimates and workshop visits are all arranged by email. Ida answers within two working days, usually sooner.

What to include

So the Reply Can Say Yes

  1. A photograph of the piano.

From the front, with the lid open if you can.

  2. The make and the serial number, if you can find them.

The number is usually on the iron frame inside, near the tuning pins.

  3. Where it stands.

Your address, the floor, and whether there are stairs.

  4. What it does wrong.

Out of tune, a sticking key, a buzzing note, or simply that it has not been touched for years.

  5. Two or three days that suit you.

For a tuning, any day from Monday to Thursday.

Prices for a visit are on the tuning page, and estimates for bigger work are explained on the restoration page.

A note about July

Closed for the Summer Holiday

Every July we close for three weeks, like most of Denmark. The workshop goes quiet, the pianos settle, and I try not to listen too closely to the radio. If your piano needs tuning before a summer party, book in May. If it can wait, wait until September, when the heating is not yet on and the wood has had the summer to settle.
